The survivors reported water was their community's greatest need.
We are collaborating with Hopefull Handbags, a global domestic abuse awareness non-profit, to provide a water collection barrel to a primary school in the Chilchila Division Sub-county in Kericho, Kenya.
A recent UN News report states, "There is evidence that gender-based violence, female genital mutilation, and child marriage have risen since the drought, as families marry off their girls to pay for food or cattle."
